What is sophrology?

It is a method of psycho-physical support with a positive effect on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the individual. Created in 1960 by Dr. Alfonso Caycedo, it has scientific foundations and is also inspired by the practices of yoga and Zen.

What are the benefits?

Sophrology combines dynamic relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques to promote greater self-awareness and body awareness.

It aims in particular to achieve harmony between body and mind, to take a step back in order to regain quality of life, and to breathe consciously in order to defocus from symptoms.

Which approach?

Sessions last one hour and are tailored to meet your specific needs and requirements.

They can be conducted via video conference or in person.

The common goal during sessions is to access or help others access new personal resources in order to unleash their potential in life. It also helps activate three specific abilities: confidence, mind-body harmony, and hope.

Repetition is central to the protocol in order to advance through the stages of discovery.

Who is it for?

Sophrology can be practiced at any age and requires no particular effort. Guidance is provided by voice alone.

Important: Sophrology is practiced in a multidisciplinary setting and does not replace ENT or psychological care. A sophrologist is neither a doctor nor a psychologist.
